Main Paragraph:

As the primary season comes to a close, The McHenry County Young Republicans have been working closely with different candidates around the county. Our organization encourages our members to volunteer for Republican candidates. We want to wish all Republicans in McHenry County good luck in the primary! We also want to remind everyone the importance of unity during this primary election season. The Young Republicans feel it is important to work together as a team, no matter our differences in opinion or personality. Every Republican should remember the importance of this, to be able to take on the democratic machine in our state. If our foundation is not strong, there is no way we will be able to move forward. The McHenry County Young Republicans want to be that foundation for the GOP in this state! We are the future and we intend on making an impact in our communities!

Monthly Update

The McHenry County Young Republicans had two very busy but rewarding months.  In September we hosted two phenomenal guest speakers, Chad Kent and Charlie Kirk to speak at our Constitution week event at MCC.  They educated the attendees on the Constitution and how they can apply it to their daily lives. We attended many fundraisers for candidates and the GOP these past two months as well. During this time of the season it is important to meet Republican candidates and work to get them on the ballot. We had the exciting opportunity to get to meet all 4 Governor Candidates, and Lt. Governor Candidates and heard some great solutions for moving Illinois forward.  We can’t wait to be the boots on the ground for their campaigns and many others. We are also thrilled to recognize the new College Conservative club at McHenry Community College, welcome to the cause! They are eager to get started and get to work extending a hand out to college students in our county as well. You can help by visiting their Facebook page to show them support! Lastly, we want to thank everyone who has helped us this summer, the support really shows us that we are on the right track. Now let’s work together have a successful start into the election and holiday season!

  • McHenry Gop Committee meeting: Nov. 11th
  • November Business Meeting: November 16th

Any candidates that are interested with having enthusiastic young people on the ground to collect signatures don’t hesitate to contact us! We have also been working on a big service project for our community. We are happy to announce our MCYR Holiday Care Package Drive the week of Nov. 17th- 23rd. You can find a list of items to donate here as well as drop off locations. All packages will be sent out just in time for Christmas and show our troops how much we appreciate them.
